Challenge:

4Cast partnered with England Cricket Team to capture authentic, behind-the-scenes content during a crucial moment in the team’s preparation for the five-Test series in India.

 

The brief was to document a “fly on the wall” team bonding day in Abu Dhabi, ahead of England’s five-Test tour of India—showcasing personality, relationships, and camaraderie away from the intensity of match environments.



Strategic Approach:

Access-First Storytelling

Took a discreet, documentary-style approach to ensure moments felt natural and unforced, allowing players to be themselves without interruption.


Split-Team Coverage

Filmed two player groups simultaneously to maximise coverage:

One group at Yas Links, capturing relaxed competition and conversation

One group at the marina aboard the Sea Falcon, focusing on downtime, humour, and group chemistry


Human-Centred Content

Prioritised moments of laughter, interaction, and connection - highlighting the importance of bonding and culture ahead of a demanding Test series.


Social-First Delivery

Edited content specifically for digital platforms, ensuring it felt intimate, engaging, and accessible to fans.
